Chairman Juvenile Justice Committee, High Court of J&K, Justice Ali Mohammad Magray today stressed on imparting proper training to all the stakeholders dealing with Juvenile Justice, in particular the staff members of Juvenile homes and police personnel so that they are sensitized to deal with the children in friendly and cordial atmosphere.

This was stated by the Justice during his visit to the Observation Home, Children’s Home and Nari Niketan at R S Pura.

Elle appelle donc à plus de coopération entre les structures médico-sociales et pénales.

Hundreds of the most vulnerable victims of crime are being prevented from testifying against their attackers because of a shortage of experts to help them give evidence, the victims’ commissioner warns in a report on Wednesday.

Helen Newlove is calling for extra support and funding for registered intermediaries (RIs) who give a voice in court to those, such as the very young or adults with learning difficulties, who have problems communicating.

Interior Minister Marco Minnitti was in Naples on Tuesday to discuss the city’s problems with gangs of criminal teenagers, who have been blamed for a rising number of violent attacks.

Naples’ youth gangs are “a phenomenon that can no longer be tolerated”, said Minnitti, who was due to meet the city’s prefect, law enforcement chiefs and juvenile court magistrates.

Tennessee’s juvenile justice system needs fixing. In response, Gov. Bill Haslam convened a multi-discipline task force last year to study cracks in the system and make recommendations on how to make it better.

The resulting recommendations are made “in order to help Tennessee better protect public safety and hold youth accountable by expanding community-based options ... proven to reduce recidivism and improve outcome for youth who come into contact with our state’s juvenile justice system.”

Un plan national de protection de l'enfance et adolescence sera présenté en mai prochain par la ministre des Solidarités et de la Santé Agnès Buzyn. Ce plan prendra notamment en compte la lutte contre les violences faites aux enfants, la prévention des difficultés et ruptures dans la vie des enfants, et l'accompagnement des jeunes adultes à la sortie de l'aide sociale à l'enfance.
